Primary Math, Mentor, Inventure Academy

My teaching journey started while volunteering at my daughter’s school in Bangladesh. I was exposed to the impact an educator could have on a young mind. This inspired me to pursue another Bachelor’s degree in Education and later I pursued a Master’s degree in Design Education. I have also taught Computer Science and Math in the US and Malaysia, which has given me additional insights into international curriculums and approaches to teaching. These experiences have shaped my commitment to building inclusive and student-centric learning spaces. I aim to empower teachers with the skills and knowledge to create learning environments where every student can thrive.

For the past 15 years, I’ve been dedicated to advancing Math education at Inventure Academy. My journey here began as a Primary school Science and Math teacher. Later, as a Math lead, I introduced the ‘Workshop Model’ and ‘Project-based learning’ at Inventure. These approaches helped to support differentiation in the classroom as students learned Math through real-world problems. Currently, I work as a mentor for the next generation of Math teachers and work towards upskilling them with age-appropriate pedagogy.
